Koda sighed as she walked along,her hidden figure moving without a sound. She yawned as she was tired. She had had no sleep for days running from humans. She growled softly and kept moving. She didnt want to be pittied by anyone. she hated it the most,people offeringg food to her,a loving home,a safe place to sleep. She hated it she could feed herself and provide shelter and give herself sleep she wasnt afraid to sleep it was just she didnt want to wake up with humans surrounding her..or never waking up. She was wanted for killing a human,but she hadnt meant to,he was hurting her. She had no choice but to defend herself and it ended up killing him. It wasnt her fault! She stopped suddenly her chasms directed down to murky liquid shackles took her backwards away from it,the last murky water she had seen she had almost been killed by a crocodile. She cautiosly approached it again,ready to run at any given moment. She lowered her pate and lapped up her fill of the cool murky liquid. It soothed her sore and parched throat. She then turned and leaped to a rock and laid down. She let a lonely howl escape her asking for company.

Sightless emerald green pools opened to the sound of a lonely howl. An ancient brute, so old that time itself did not know his age stood, wincing a little at the pain. He let a sharp bark emit his throat, summoning his ears and eyes, spirits. Suddenly, all around the ancient being were misty, spirity forms, asking them to lead the way in the ancient tounge shared by spirits and their caller, the spirits began to move, the brute following easily. He looked helpless, having spirits replace his auds and pools, but in truth he was far from it. He could do many things, that any smart vura would think twice before attacking him, for if they did they were at the risk of becoming a spirit, forced to follow his will.

Koda jumped up at the sound of a bark,she wasnt afraid but knew better then to stay laid down when something or someone was approaching..that shelearned the hard way. She looked at the mist and was curious it was strange to see in the middle of the day. She saw the wolf and smiled weakly to him.
*'Lo.....Im Koda....who are you?*
Her vocals were soft and sweet but she could be mean when it is needed. She felt the fur on her boa and spine rise alittle she shook the feeling away but it just returned. She wondered why there was mist in the day and why it looked like the forms of somthing...spirits?No it couldnt be...could it? These thoughts and more whirled through her brain as she tried to find an answer.

The ancient brute nodded his head in greeting to the femme "Ello Koda" he said kindly, his vocals deep and cracked, the brute didn't speak much, he only barked every so often, to summon his spirits, and he was slightly amazed at how cracked it sounded Maybe I should start talking more he thought to himself before shaking his head "I am dubbed Moonwing, and these..." he said, jerking his wizend (sp?) head toward the spirits, still milling about his form "Are spirits, my eyes and ears" he smiled sadly at the fea "What brings you here?" he asked the fea curiously.

The figure of Koda watched with not a wary eye but a kind eye. she was alert but wouldnt show it. She looked at the spirits occasionaly but chasms werent off the bull for long. When he spoke her harks pricked to there points and she listened,she could tell he didnt speak much by the raspy and cracked sound to it. She smiled as she watched and listened to him and his movments. Her whip was held slightly lower out of respect,she didnt know if he was an alpha or not she couldnt tell...that or she just wasnt paying attention. When he shook his pate her chasms snapped to attention,going directly back to him as she found them wandering away form the mass.She nodded to his name and listened as he paused,but why had he pause? She saw the jerk of his pate and knew why she listened with interest and it showed,a flash of caution flashed in her chasms when he revealed what they were and why they were there. She unlike most didnt lower her gaze but kept it with his chasms. She showed no fear,even though her heart raced with fear and excitement. She looked down at his last words,how was she to explain why she was there? She returned her gaze but said nothing she showed him nothing but how tired she was..but she was trying to hide it.Her jowls pulled apart and her honey sweet chimes were heard softly.
*Just wandering about....Im new to the lands, I come from far north-*
She broke off not wanting to say more. Her jowls had snapped shut with a click of her ivorns. She didnt mind being asked questions,but her heart was still soft at one spot of her lost pack. Wondering still why she was taken from them,why were the hairless baboons so cruel,she wished she had never went back to save her pack at times,knowing she owuld have been free and learned more. She yawned and shook herself trying to rid her carcass from the sleep that tried hard to overtake her.

Moonwing watched Koda, a bit bemused. He understood that she may wish not to say more, but he slightly wished that she had. He, long ago had once been to the northlands, and he had kin there, though he knew they were dead. Koda seemed tierd, he noticed, and he realized that he was, more than likely, keeping her awake. "I once lived in the northlands" Moonwing informed the femme, as he sat, wrapping his ebonite tassel round himself as he did "I had kin there, cousins I think" he paused for a moment, glad to see that his voice was becoming less raspy "Yes," he continued "Cousins, a long, long, time ago"

Koda laid down and watched him her muscles instantly felt better. Chasms were still on Moonwing,she wondered if she was in a packs terra?And went to ask but he started speaking again.She lsitened not at all annoyed. She wasnt evil a kind wolf she was at heart, she didnt underrstand the twisted and insane wolves but usually could fend them off when they messed with her. She was interested in what he said he has traveled to the northern lands?Interesting she thought.Cousins....I wonder what the pack name was? Her strong jowls parted and her chimes worked to produce a melodic(if its a word) tone.
*Moonwing,am I in a packs terra?-she paused cursing herself silently she hadnt meant to say that-what was your cousins pack name?*
she showed interest wanting to know more but she respected his wishs if he didnt want to tell her.She could tell his vocals were becoming less raspy and wondered if he ever talked.

Moonwing smiled upon Koda, shaking his head a little, a slight grin growing upon his maw. His pale emerald pools watched the fea for a few more moments, but then he began to speak again, carefully chosing his words "You are indeed upon a pack's terra" he informed her "The Hurrock pack to the exact" he said, after pausing for a few moments "The alpha's dubing is Creb" he informed the femme "As for my cousin's pack, I know that they are gone now, or at anyrate, I do not doubt it. But they were the Night Runners"

A yawn was emmitted by Koda,her chasms looked lazy,and unalert,but she was far from it. she was tired but was ready to do harm if she needed to. When Moonwing began to speak she noticed somthing,he seemed slightly hesitant what is he trying to hide? her thoughts werent to be shown and they quickly vannished. She didnt know of his powers and didnt want her thoughts to be known...atleast not most of them. Worry flashed in her chasms for only a split second,she hid it well now she was fully aware that she was in anothers terra. She rose to her shackles forcefully. She stretched trying to work the stiffness from her sore shackles. She knew his cousins pack and they were no more that she knew of....the last she had saw of them she was being taken away....
*The Hurrock pack,are they kind..or crazy....your cousins pack they are gone the last i saw of them they were being killed by humans....*
she looked down her mother had been among them, she looked back to him chasms blank of everything,her facade expressionless. She shivered slightly as she remembered,but she threw the memory and focused on only Moonwing.

Moonwing lowered his ebonite head sadly, he had thought as much, but he had, at least had a hope, but that hope was no more…he knew now that they were gone….His sightless emerald green pools looked upon Koda with curiousity as she asked about the Hurrock pack….their alpha, Creb, was his great-great-great-great-grandson, as was a hint to his age, as Creb was no longer a spring chicken… “The Hurrocks are insane”
he stated simply, looking away from her. He had known the great-grand mother of Koda, and through knowning her, he knew that Koda was hiding the death of her own mother….

She watched him sympathy fillinghe chasms her pate to loewred slightly. Yet she didnt let out a sound,she just watched. She couldnt help but be sad for her pack was killed as well. She blamed herself but never spoke of it. She growled softly as he spoke. She back up a few stepps and let her chimes be heard

she said but didnt move,she felt he was hiding somthing. And wondered what it was. A sence told her heart it was about her but could she be sure?She looked at the spirits her harks flattening to her pate. She didnt feel safe anymore,in an insane wolfs terf didnt exactly appeal to her.Was he the alpha?That made her even more fearfull but she hid it not wanting him to see her fear.
